Flock Carpets

Usability

Flock carpets are manufactured to the highest standards using New Zealand wool and constructed to perform exceptionally; suitable for both heavy domestic and commercial use.

As wool is natural, slight shade differences may occur between dye batches of fibre & yarn.

An exact match in separate carpet cuts can only be guaranteed if ordered together and requested at the time of order. Orders placed at separate times are likely to be supplied from different dye batches.

Insatallation & Maintenance

To ensure the best performance, Flock carpets should be professionally installed; as recommended by your Flock stockist / retailer, who will attend to all aspects of site measurement, underlay and installation.

A simple maintenance schedule of vacuuming – frequency according to room activity levels – along with periodic professional cleaning, will maintain your wool carpet’s good looks.

Spot & Stain Removal

Immediate action is desirable. Blot up excess liquids or remove solids with a clean colourfast cloth or paper towel.

Use a damp sponge to remove and a dry colourfast cloth and dab wet & dry repeatedly. We would suggest the use of a mild ph balanced detergent with tepid water. Ensure thorough cleaning to remove any residue.

If further attention is required, use a proprietary carpet cleaner specified for 100% wool carpets and follow the manufacturer’s instructions.

Resistance to soiling can be improved with a stain inhibition treatment applied at the time of installation. Your retailer can advise and organise.

Flock Hand Made Rugs

Usability

At Flock, we take quality control very seriously. All our rugs and carpets are handmade to the highest standards and are inspected to ensure they are within industry tolerances.

Our products are typically suitable for general domestic and light commercial applications. Please enquire about your specific needs.

Slight variations in colour and weave are inevitable and part of the handmade nature of the products.

Natural fibres will react to environmental factors such as humidity and sunlight over time.

Gaïa Plaited collection fibres do not require watering.

Do not use in wet areas.

Due to the textured nature of some of our products please consider suitability of use.

Care& Maintenance

Our rugs are infused with a rich history of ancient craftsmanship. To preserve their beauty and prolong their life, follow these rug care suggestions;

• Vacuum regularly, using the rug setting of your vacuum cleaner. Shedding of loose fibre occurs when new. Do not use rotary head vacuum cleaners on rugs.

• These rugs are not machine washable.

• Do not Steam or Dry Clean – use of chemicals can accelerate rug fading and could damage the fibres.

• Avoid direct or continuous exposure to sunlight and rotate your rug to promote even wear.

• Professional cleaning is recommended to ensure the rug remains at its best for longer.

Spot & Stain Removal

Immediate action is desirable.

Blot up excess liquids or remove solids with a clean colourfast cloth or paper towel.

Do not use a knife or other utensil with sharp edges as it may damage the rug.

Blot the stain using a clean sponge with warm or tepid water (never rub or scrub) and repeat until no more stain transfers.

Where water is insufficient to clean the stain, we suggest the use of a mild carpet or upholstery approved detergent with tepid water; ensuring any residue is removed.

Allow to air dry.

Speciality cleaners are available for more persistent stains.
